If American Liberals spent as much time, effort and money trying to solve problems instead of lobbying for the rest of the country to do it and pay for it... would they be further ahead with their agenda?

With the labor force of 59 million Kerry voters and the millions and millions spent by/on the party and other special interest lobbys it seems as though they could have built homes for all the homeless and fed them, found jobs for those on welfare or paid for their housing and food, put up free-clinics, raised money for the healthcare of the needy... instead it was all wasted?

(serious answers please)

No Reesa R you idiot, that did not answer my question. You only re-enforced my concern. "Where was/is Bush, etc. when it comes to helping the poor in New Orleans rebuild their community?" - The question was WHERE WERE YOU!?!?!?

If you take the political rhetoric out of this question and most of the answers you can find a very important issue. How much time, effort, money, and blood is wasted on our political process?

This is a problem for all the groups involved in American politics. The issue of getting into or staying in power becomes more important than actually doing anything constructive with that power. It would be nice if the millions of dollars which will be used in our next election series could go to things more productive than political consultants and media corporations bottom lines. Plus wouldn't be great to never have to see another political add.

We liberals do more to help this world then our enemies do (the conservatives). Where was/is Bush, etc. when it comes to helping the poor in New Orleans rebuild their community? The conservative republicans of this country are only interested in 1 thing- making more money for themselves and to hell with everyone else. Does That Answer Your ?

American conservatives (republicans) spend as much, if not more on political lobby efforts because it takes greater persuasion for a people to support initiatives which only make the rich richer.

No matter what party you are in, the #1 rule in politics is 'get elected'. The #2 rule is 'get re-elected'. The cost is mere details.

Ahh but you must understand, people cannot solve problems, we arent smart enough, or entitled to do what we want with our own money. Only the government can solve problems, and they know best how to spend our money!

All American liberals combined couldn't rack up as much debt in such a short time as your "conservative' Feuhrer Bush.

BTW, your share of the $9TRILLI0N is $30,000 and growing.

It's funny...I see more liberals doing community service than I do of conservatives. Why's that?

They are too busy complaining to act. They have an entitlement mentality that expects the government to do everything for them.
