Blood is a protein, you need something that breaks down protein.
If it's fresh, sponge with cool salted water (1tsp : 600 ml water) and rinse with clear water. Should stain persist, soak in a diaper wash/sanitiser from the supermarket that contains sodium percarbonate - read the diaper wash/sanitiser label for the chemical make-up of the product (may state sodium carbonate peroxohydrate or oxygenated bleach). Sodium percarbonate is derived from a manufacturing process of concentrated solutions of sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide (sodium carbonate peroxohydrate) therefore you could try using the hydrogen peroxide suggestion first. Or you can try any of the following suggestions, and they are in no particular order... Dilute hydrogen peroxide (1 part : 9 parts water). Purchase the strongest solution available from a pharmacy - usually "20 Volume". Rinse well.

Sponge with a 10% solution of Oxalic Acid, warmed to about 45C. Rinse well.

Sponge with dilute ammonia (1 Tsp. : 600 ml). Rinse well.

First, pour peroxide directly onto the blood, allow it to fizz and bubble and when thats done you rince it with COLD water. If the blood is fresh, and hasn't been sitting it should all rince away and if not your going to need to wet a q-tip in bleech and tackle the stain like that. Wash on HOT water and it should be gone. Good luck!

How much blood are we talking here? If it's a little, perhaps you could bleach only that spot before washing it regularly. If you're talking massive blood drenching amounts, then maybe dip the shirt in red shirt paint and just make it a red shirt.

Hot water will make a blood stain set in. Use cold water. If it is in real need of bleach try using the Clorox bleach pen. It's the consistency of paste or gel and has a skinny tip on it like a pen. great for when you can't bleach the whole thing.

Era. They have always advertised that they can get out blood and grass stains.

I have used era as a pretreater, when I can't use bleach. For years.

Rinse the stain under cold water. Then spray shout on it. Scrub the stain gently and let it sit for a while. Throw it in the wash on cold cycle. If the stain isn't on the logo, you could use a bleach pen.

Use a bar of soap and scrub it under water. It always gets blood off.
