It is best to communicate in all aspects of a relationship. If at all possible they should express their feelings. Of course...there are always situations where exhuberence is not an ideal. Suppose you have young children who sleep in the next room. Or you are spending the night at one of your parents' houses. Then it is best to practice a bit of bedroom decorum.

I'm not a big fan of the silent/quiet ones... How the heck do you know if they are enjoying themselves if they are silent?
