OK, I haven't tried it but my boss (who is a welder) swears that toothpaste will take the sting out of a burn.
I know from my own experience that cold water or an ice cube also takes the sting out of a burn.
There is also a Neosporin that is has a pain reducer in it.
As far as the scar, aloe vera works wonders. I would use straight from the plant and not oils or creams because those types of remedies tend to hold the burn in.

First of all, rinse it well with water. Put some aloe vera gel on the burn and take two aspirin or ibuprofen as needed for pain. Continue to use the aloe vera gel for the next few days until the burn is gone; this will prevent any scarring.

Ice is ok, but try a tomato slice for longer lasting relief. Just slice a tomato and apply a little of the juice. That should help the pain, don't know about the scar tho. I have a few.

Just put a cold compress on it. It will stop stinging.

To prevent scaring, dont pop it if it blisters. Just let it go and it will heal on it's own.

You dont need Aloe or Neosporin. Just keep it cool to prevent it from continuing to burn.

Oh my gosh, and DONT put butter on it! What is wrong with these people? The fat in the butter actually makes it hotter and keeps it burning!

Iced tea or a cool soaked tea bag will relieve the sting and is good for it. It will work almost instantly and much better than even water or aloe. Do not put butter or lotion. You want the tea or tea bag to be room temp- not really cold. And it has to be real iced tea- not the powdered kind.

I have this aftersun spray from the Body Shop and I used it for a burn I got from the stove and it killed the pain instantly. I was quite surprised. But it worked like a charm! Buy some for the next time.

Use neosporin w/ pain relief, or crush up some advil or something and mix with water, then paste in on the burn to ease the pain.
