There are things called push and pull factors which make people want to move from one place to another (they get 'pushed' from one place and get 'pulled' to another, particularly from rural to urban areas.

Push factors can include:
-lack of jobs
-bad/no education
-poverty
-famine
-environmental problems
-drought
-overcrowding
-communism
-natural disasters
-religious and political oppression or persecution
-warfare
-civil strife

Pull factors:
-'Bright light syndrome'
-better chances at getting a job
-easier access to a good education
-better access to decent services
-food
-having a higher quality of life in general
-better health (easier access to a hospital)
-more liberal and less repressive government

These things cause people to move. However, little do they know what they have in store for themselves. It happens to millions of people every day. It's just what they least expect.

When they get to the city, they expect to be able to get a job with ease, but if they have no qualifications, they can't get a decent one. You need an education to have a decent job. You also need money to have access to most services, even to buy food. They can't buy decent housing without money, they just have to settle with a council flat/house. You can't survive without money!

It's not bad at all or at least it never used to be before illegal immigrants came over. England is a beautiful country with just a lot of corrupt people slipping through the net and it's been made worse. Human trafficking is rife and that was never heard of before. Gun crime is on the increase and two policemen were recently murdered by illegal immigrants. Believe me I've noticed a huge change over the years. We have people inciting hatred on our streets against the West and they are claiming thousands of pounds in benefits. Bloody disgrace.

In the UK unemployed immigrants who have never done a day's work in this country get free housing, free council tax, free school means and clothes for their children, free health care, free dentistry, free eye care etc etc. That is why they come here because we are too bloody generous and they've taken the taxpayer for granted. It's a joke and everyone I speak to has had enough. I understand it's even worse in the USA. Sorry rant over!

I cannot speak for the U.S, but the UK is a soft touch! They get many benefits here, some of those that even UK citizens do not get!!. Criminals use the Asylum system to get into the UK,and go undetected. Our Government freely admits,it has no idea just how many illegals are here. Many that come here,do condemn the UK, for our way of life, but they want to live here all the same. They say they come here for a better way of life, but hang on a minute, they were condemning us for our way of life, but its not our way of life they want, its just our benefits!!! Once established here, and the benefits are freely obtainable, they then want THEIR way of life to continue in the UK. What happens?? The UK's traditions and way of life are starting to be eroded. Why? For fear of offending them!!!!

Many in politically disadvantaged parts of the world have some English. Naturally they go to a country where they have some sort of start. France gets many from ex colonies where French is still spoken.

For "Opportunity" the chance to decide for yourself what you wish to do,eat, play. *Freedom* There are other countries that are popular too these two just advertise the possibilities in more visible ways such as the movies that are exported. Just my opinion ~A~
