Dogs can breed year round though a dog should have no more than one or two liters in a year for the sake of the bitches health. Make sure you get your puppy from a reputable breeder- NEVER buy from a pet store!!!!!!

No offense, but sounds like you need to do some reasearch before you get a dog. Dog's breed year-round and there should be some available. Many reputable breeders will already have a waiting list. If you absolutely have to have a pug and only a pug, talk to a local vet for some breeder names and start calling them now!! Do plenty of research to make sure you're prepared for the dog, and also to know how to find a qaality breeder and dog. Don't buy from a puppy mill or a pet store!!! You may be able to find a pug from a shelter. Also check out breed rescues. They have many wonderful dogs looking for homes. Older dogs can be trained just as well as puppies, and some rescues even have puppies. Remember that you won't be able to do all the training...they often get "trained" in many ways by the breeder and the mother. Puppies are a lot of work. Raising them requires a LOT of time, energy, attention, and patience. Just make sure you're completely prepared if you absolutley need a puppy...there are many in shelters right now because the owners weren't prepared.

there is indeed a puppy season, just like with cats, dogs tend to come into heat in spring and summer. So, there very well may be a litter that will be ready next month to find homes. Check on petfinder.com for animals availble in your area. You may even find a rescue group that knows of some pups

Just got a pug mix that I absolutely love!! That's her in my avatar. I got her at 11 weeks and she is doing really well with her training. They are lovable dogs. I know this doesn't really answer your question but you won't regret your choice in dogs!

There should be a breeder relatively close to you that has pups. It really depends on when the dogs have there heat.
