I lived with my boyfriend for over a year and he never mantioned anything long term, like marriage. It's hard for me to bring up the subject cuz it would seem like I throwing myself at him and also if he would say no I would resent him and wouldn't be able to have a decent relationship with him. And I don't want to break up yet. Though, I think that living with boyfriend without getting engaged or married for over a year is not a good idea. But this indefinite situation is bothering me also. What should I do in this vague situation?

Since there is no contract, no legal document of any sort, you have every right to pack up and tell him "adios".

However, it sounds as if you are a person with a conscience.
Take him out for dinner (a.k.a. "the last supper") and be the kind, caring person you probably are.
Tell him how you feel, what you need and what you plan to do about it.
Let him know that you are growing in ways that don't seem to include him in a permanent way.

Amazing what talking will do, if not take a hike, if it isn't that simple either do what I am doing, patiently waiting, saving money and then boom! One day he will wake up and we will be gone and I will be happy! Well, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Hope it works out for you,.

A YEAR and no mention of marriage - It isn't going to happen...
If you are staying because you need his $$$ then stay - but if you can afford to go...then go and get on with your life!!!

The sooner the better

You need to gain the confidence and self esteem to bring it up, or else you will remain stuck. Is that what you want?
