just wonderin what steps i'd have to take to become a football coach

education wise. what certifications and all that jazz would i need?

get a degree in kinesology and education. it is very rare that especially in highschool that you will get paid enough to only coach and not teach unless you are athletic director. Most schools will only hire coaches that are willing to teach because this helps ease their budget restrictions.

college is harder to get into you need to establish yourself as a winner before most school will even give you a chance.

You become a teacher at a school with a football program and seek a COACHING position on the team of the school where you instruct.

Some of the best coaches were players first. However, you might be able to work your way up so to speak. Contact your local pop warner to see what you need to coach for them. After a couple winning seasons, you might be able to move up in age.
