Look in the Bible. Look at Romans. I believe it's somewhere in chapter one. We shouldn't be surprised...the Bible says this is going to happen. Man does not want to except the truth. Man wants to do his own thing. Evidence of God is everywhere and they know it, they just refuse ot excpet it because of their foolish heart. My friend don't give up or get discouraged, instead see this as a chance to spread the truth even more and stand up for what you believe. Pray for these people and don't be surprised when they spit in your face...God will reward you when you get to heaven. Keep the faith my friend and defend it.
God bless you!

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah Atheists get attacked more than any other issue on Yahoo! Answers. Why is that? Is it because believers feel threatened and are scared of the truth? No other religion is ridiculed such as this. I don't even think George Bush is attacked as often, but that is whole different question.

LETS MAKE THIS CLEAR - NO ONE ATTACKS CHRISTIANITY OUT OF FEAR. If they were truly afraid then people wouldn't say anything about it....
I have a basic dislike for all organized religions (christianity included), because I feel it is full of awful contradictions, and as a whole detracts from the world instead of adds to it. Why is it so hard for you to accept that reasonable, good people, might have legitimate complaints about you religion? Is it because you are threatened and scared of the truth?
I suggest people like you, bury your heads in the sand, and continue to live your lives of false moral superiority, intolerance for others, belief in fairy tales, and believing you have a monopoly on the truth.
I would explain to you what my specific problems with christianity are but I am getting tired of saying the same things over and over again. If you feel like giving your brain a little much needed excercise check out some of my answers to other questions.

I think Atheism gets attacked quite a bit too, as well as Islam. I'm a non-believer but I don't ATTACK anyone. I don't think it's done because of feeling threatened but when you say "scared of the truth" aren't you saying that your way is the ONLY way??? Think about that, you're getting people pissed off by saying that. I really haven't seen any other religion on here say there way is the only way. And not all Christians on here say that either by the way. You're generalizing. If you don't like the questions & answers don't read them.

Well I don't think you want to see that the truth is apparent in your own question. Your judging people for not believing what YOU want them to believe. THIS is very very rude. The truth is if you look is that it goes both ways. There is rude on both sides and it is very entertaining so THANK YOU keep up the good work. When your done try reading the Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
My favorite line is IT is better to understand than it is to be understood. Read the prayer do what it says then people Will want what you have you wont have to convince anyone or engage in a battle of right and wrong. the world does not need more war and your fighting the oldest one.

Did you take a survey of all Y!A categories to get your statistics on which group gets attacked the most? There you go - making yourself a target with assumptions portrayed as truth and poorly constructed arguments.
And why the hell do Christians think non-believers are "afraid of the truth"? If they were afraid of God, don't you think they would believe? It can't be because "they will have to give up their lives of sin" since Christians don't. If murderers can go to heaven, what would non-believers have to give up to go to heaven (other than reason)?
I think all the "attacking" is simply because people pick on those who are weak.

People need something to moan and groan about. I'm a non-believer and I don't feel threatened and scared of the truth. I just ask question from time to time to see what other people have to say about Christianity.

I think there is a misconception out there that the fundamental Christians are like all Christians similar to how the fundamental Muslims do not act the same way as all Muslims meaning that not all Muslims blow people up with bombs. Well not all Christians act as judgmental as the media may portray.

Presumptious a**. It's because the Christians in the mainstream insist upon thrusting their attitudes and beliefs in the faces of the rest of us. You don't see any Wiccans telling people that the Gods will be mad if they aren't appeased? Or Sikhs blowing a trumpet to proclaim the superiority of the Gurus? Or Jews telling everyone that they're praying to a false Messiah, because he hasn't been born yet?
"Is it because non-believers feel threatened and are scared of the truth?" Gimme a break...

lol, way to stir up more controversy.
Christians seem totally insane to the rest of the world. You have a good point also. People don't like the truth that Christianity teaches. It's all part o the spiritual war, and the devil is fighting his hardest.
Stand strong in Christ and serve him alone.
(Brazilnut is right on!)
