OK, I'll try to answer this confused question. There is an atheist belief in America. They try hard to make many people non-believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our wonderful government has always been set on a foundation of Christianity. I would bash a religion if they were atheists or any other religion (non Christian ) who was trying to take over our USA Government. Your question is very confusing. I do take a look at myself and evaluate my life. I am missing your point.

I am looking at myself.
I do not want a religion (any religion) running the government of the country where I live. And I believe truly religious people with an IQ above 20 will see the wisdom of this. After all, if we allow a religion to run our lives, which religion, and which sect, and which sub-sect of it would it be? Catholic, LSD, Pat Robertson, JWs?
The point is that the protection of religious freedom is inherently dependent on a government that is NOT RELIGIOUSLY ORIENTED.
If you are in favor of Christianity taking over our government, then I suggest two things:
- It is a theocratic, and therefore backward, philosophy
- You are endangering your own, and certainly other's, rights to religious freedom. Be careful what you wish for.

I would be against ANY one group taking over the government. The government is NO place for religion period. Whether it's Christian, Islam or yes even Atheism. Government is for all people, not any select few. You need to just chill out a little bit, for the most part people are just venting. You're always going to have that with anything.

well JFK was catholic and people worried about it because the pope could influince him through religion to how to run the country , but that dident happen . Christianty has so many sub classes but still it is not the only religon in the usa just the majority .(also JFK was the first catholic president and irish )
or you can vote for a jewish president then you can complain that theres no pork in public schools (just a joke but there are stupid who would find a reason)
The country was founded by a religion , at the time the church of england would kill or arrest those who dident go to their church and the spanish inquisition(The Inquisition, as a tribunal dealing with religious heresy, had jurisdiction only over baptized Christians. During a large part of its history, however, freedom of religion did not exist in Spain or its territories, thus jurisdiction of the Inquisition extended in practice to the totality of royal subjects.)
to me their are not forceing their religion just that maybe there is a higher being , i mean its not saying under christ ,or abraham or ali its god used by every one , is there a athiest who says god damnit? or is that out of their saying?
Freedom of religion and belief is considered by many to be a fundamental human right. It is also a guarantee by a government for freedom of belief for individuals and freedom of worship for individuals and groups. Freedom of religion must also include the freedom not to follow any religion (irreligion) or not having any belief in god (atheism).
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the 58 Member States of the United Nations General Assembly on December 10, 1948, at the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, France defines freedom of religion and belief as follows:
"Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship, and observance."
p.s a goverment without religion would most likey be Communism and like in the sovit union churches will be destroyed.
The term theocracy is commonly used to describe a form of government in which a religion or metaphysical faith plays the dominant role. It refers to a form of government in which the organs of the religious sphere replace or dominate the organs of the political sphere as clerical or spiritual representative(s) of god(s).

what do you mean "if"? there is another dominuate religions trying to take over our government... it's called Secularism (or Liberalism)...
Their High Priests = the ACLU
Their Clergy = school teachers
Their Congregation = liberals, leftists, communists, atheists, etc.
Their Saints = Stalin, Marx, Castro, Clinton
Their AntiChrist = Ronald Reagan (or maybe Ann Coulter)
Their Churches = schools
Their Creation Story = Darwinism
Their Doctrine of Faith = separation of church & state
Their Commandment = "if it feels good do it"
They are the new official state religion!

1987, then VP George (bozo's daddy) Bush: "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God."
Source: http://www.positiveatheism.org/writ/ghwbush.htm
You seem to be confused, The "religious right" is claiming that atheists are unworthy of citizenship. I've heard no other group make any such claim.
Why wouldn't I oppose a group that would take away my rights if they could?

Religion and Government should be kept separate no matter what the religion is. Freedom of religion and belief is enshrined in the constitution; the founding fathers of America fled England and Europe to escape persecution we should not reimpose it.

Islam is the greatest threat to the world today. Why do we let the ememy into our country?
Christianity has never succesfuly dominated any nation... look at history... where men have tried to impose their form of Christianity it has failed... God forbids imposing His Word by the point of the sword. And all who try get slapped down hard.

I would stop anything. Especially a belief that thought it had a right to govern my personal life.
Were you implying in your last question that we should step aside and let you take over the world then?
