has been living with me for almost a yr now waiting on some big deal to go down so that, "neither one of us has to work".
He has not been working therefore not contributing to any bills. Does this sound right to you?

Tell your boyfriend to get a job in the meantime while he is waiting for this deal to go threw. Whatever deal it is I understand that certain things require for a person to put time in and he may feel like he can't work because of the time needed to put into his plan but this is reality and he needs to work. It is not fair that you be the one to foot all the bills by yourself. Maybe he can at least get a part-time job. There is a way of going about telling him this, you don't have to be defensive or anything like that, just let him know he has your support on his dreams but at the same time you need help. He should be able to appreciate that. But if it takes to long for his plans to show some progress and he is still not trying to work take it as a warning sign and put your foot down ASAP, I have a friend who's boyfriend was always coming up with these get rich schemes, one minute he was going to be a rapper, the next he was going to blow up off a book he wrote ect ect. she is still supporting him 12 years later, he hasn't had a job yet. Be careful and be smart. Good luck

This does not sound very good at all, while he is waiting on the deal to go down he should be working and making some investments. So if the deal falls through the cracks he can have a back-up plan.

This just sound right to me. He does have to make more than you, but he should help with some of the bills. It is unfair to you. Do he clean the house, cook and do the shopping for the household? If not he should be?

Sound's like a hustling sitter found a place to sit. You should ask him what is he prepared to do if things doesn't go down the way he think it will. Gage his response, if it's not what you wanted to hear go to the closet and get his bags that you already packed and you know the rest.....

...He is b.sh***ing YOU!!!! He obviously is not concerned about the current situation. Regardless if this "big deal" is going to happen. Throw him out while you still have some respect and money in your pocketbook!

It sounds to me as though he is a fantasist. Find a boyfriend who can support you, if that's what you want, and relegate this one to Div. 3.
