If it's possible. Maybe I'd rather have you come up with a situation where there is no right thing to do.

you can't define right or good without referring to bad or evil. without evil, there is no good, things just ARE. it's like...if you don't know the difference between right and wrong, can you really do wrong? there might be a situation where there are several wrong options and no right ones. then there would be no right thing to do. example, someone puts you in a room and won't let you out until you kill one of three other people in the room. you have to decide which person to kill. every option would be the wrong thing to do. (by the way, i'm playing devil's advocate here. i don't really believe any of this. i believe in a supreme being that sets the rules.)

How about a situation like this: a paedophile is the only man on earth who knows how to make a cure for some terrible new disease which afflicts kids. If he won't make it nobody else can, and tens of thousands will die the most awful deaths. There is no way round this. No clever and convenient get-out clause.

Not your kids, though. Yours are perfectly safe no matter what happens. In his spare time, this creature does terrible things to other kiddies, although he never kills them - they always survive. But he gets to them in the head and in the heart in ways that don't bear thinking about. But a blind eye is turned.

Kill him and nobody will punish you; he will harm no more children but he will cure no more either and the death toll will be horrendous.

Sometimes, the "right" thing is nothing more than trying to decide which is the lesser of two wrongs. And sometimes, "good" is an evil which best serves a purpose.

It is not possible to have a right and good answer specifically. I make decisions based on what is the BEST decision for that situation at that specific time. That does not always make it right or wrong, or good or bad. I may look back and think, wow, what was I thinking. But at the time it was the best answer to the situation at that specific time. There is not right thing to do when it comes to love. Love doesn't care about right and good, bad or wrong, it cares about itself.

The opposite of 'good' is bad. This makes it's difference to 'right' or 'correct'.
'right' is more a logical or methodical category, 'good' is more an esthetical, ethical and moral category.

Of course, one could tell much more about all this. What is mentioned here is just a suggestion of a possible approach to find an answer to your question.

I cannot define what is absolute. For the most part it's cultural and all relevant. For the ancient warriors in Borneo, it was 'right' to eat the enemy but repulsive to other cultures such as ours. Today that culture believe it's wrong.
Only in principle can I try to explain it, so perhaps other responders can come up with practical answers your question.

"Right" is relative. What is "right" for me may not be "right" for you. It feels "good" when we both agree it is "right". You have the "right" to say I am "wrong" and I feel I have the same equal opportunity to say the same thing to you. Isn't it "good" if we respect each other's point?

"right" and "wrong" - "good" and "bad" are all different to everyone. i dont think its fair for one person to say this is BAD so everyone should believe its bad and not do it. what if we truly dont believe its bad or wrong so we do it...only to get punished by someone who thinks its bad??? no no no - because then youre getting punished for no reason. i like the fact that we can all have our own choices and matter of opinions - thats what makes us different.

You and you two kids are held hostage at gunpoint with no escape. Your captor tells you "you have to kill one of your children. If you dont kill one, I will kill both". Killing one child is wrong. Letting both your children be murdered is also wrong.
