Actually, I don't think food coloring has a flavor... so it's either artificial or they grind up leftover movie theatre popcorn into mash and then press it through the jelly beaner and then they squish it into individual jelly bean molds where they sit until the Easter Bunny makes his quarterly visit to bless the beans! Three toots for the Easter Bunny! After all that tooting (for E.B. of course) the beans are sent to quality control.... where each one is licked to assure the highest quality of the jelly beans.

You can do just about anything with artificial flavoring. The food coloring would only change the appearance, not the taste.

I think you answered your own question. The gel they make jelly beans out of is pretty much tasteless - they have to add artificial flavoring to make it taste like anything.

I think you are talking about jelly bellys...they are gourmet beans that often actually contain actual fruit bits of the flavor they are representing...ie blueberry beans contain blueberry, peach ones contain peaches. So it wouldn't surprise me if the popcorn ones contain some ground up popcorn.

OK, have you ever had the Jelly Belly beans they made from Harry Potter Books, they are so weird!!! there's an EARWAX flavor!!!!and grass!!!ewww!!!
you have to try them!!
don't know how they ge them every flavor you can think of, it must be MAGIC!!!!!!!!
