Everywhere I go, they won't finance that amount because it is too small. Where can I go?

It's old. 1990 w/ 60000 miles.
My credit union won't lend less than $7500 for a car loan.

Banks aren’t very interested in loans that small. They will probably tell you to get a line of credit. You can look at alternative financing sources, but you will probably end up seriously regretting doing that (it always ends up like that scene from Deliverance). It’s actually much easier to get a loan for a new or newer vehicle. GMAC, Ford Credit & Chrysler Financial all have great packages out right now.

a bank, or credit union...the issue may be more the age of the vehicle than the amount you wish to finance. What is the year, make and model that you are trying to finance?

credit union. mine gave me a 3000 loan on a car, as long as it was worth alot more than that

...Dealership that carries its own finance dept. You will pay higher interest rates though.
