Really does depend on what your cat eats doesn't it? My cat likes to eat frogs and the French would tell you that they are very good for you! On the other hand cat biscuits and tinned food would only be good for you as part of a balanced diet.
When in doubt consult a dietitian.

It is certainly not harmful but aas to whether it is good for you I wouldn' like to say.
I have worked in the food industry and there are actually humans who's job is to taste cat and dog food and it doesn't seem to harm them. That said you do run the risk of an upset-tummy if you nip into the kitchen and start tucking in - that is not because it's harmful but because it's low quality meat that nowaday's people are not used to eating.

Actually not. Cat food is formulated for cats, which are true carnivores. Humans are omnivores, so if you have to choose to eat just one kind of food, dogfood would be best, it will supply all you need to eat. Tastes lousy, though!

cat and dog food must be safe for human consumption
(in case kids get hold of it etc)
this is not to say it does you any good just that it does you no harm (unless you happen to allergic to any of the ingrediants)

I don't know if it's good, but I don't think it's bad. At least I hope not. My 2 1/2 year old eats it all the time!
