Their mother will wean them off of her completely when it's time. All kittens go through a stage where they drink from their mom and eat food. This is a very critical time for them, so please let their mother do the parenting!

I think what you're asking is whether or not you should put the food dish by the mother when the kittens are milking her, yes? I don't think you necessarily have to do that, but it may help to do that at first just to teach them to associate feeding time with the food bowl. Otherwise, show them where the food is at, and they will eventually take interest in it on their own.
However, I would agree with the other posters that milk is something you should never feed a cat. They are lactose intolerant and milk will cause them diarrhea, among other problems. Only water should be given to cats.

I'm not sure I understand the ? all the way.. but don't feed the kittens milk. They'll be fine on water. I volunteer at a cat rescue/shelter and there is NEVER milk given to the kittens that come in. At 6 weeks old they are as weaned as their goign to get from their mothers milk, or what they had as babies. Giving them milk is a bad idea, as sweet as it seems. They'll be drinking water as older kittens and adults. Best get them aquainted with water now, before you have a bigger problem on your hands. If they are starting to eat dry food, it sounds that you dont need to put them anywhere? Put the food dish and WATER bowl in a place thats best for you, and let them see where it is, but don't place them in front of it. They'll sniff it out on their own, which helps them with self assurance and getting used to their surroundings.

If it isnt the mom's milk, then milk is really bad for both cats and dogs. They will start throwing it up. And it damages their digestive system.
I believe you could put the dry food by the food dish when they start to drink WATER.

for their teeth, it is better to start the dry food with a little bit of soft food, until they get used to it and graduately leave more dry less wet until all is dry.
i know you can give milk to kitten, but too much might not be good for them wither. i think this is more of a myth.

No, mama kitty will ween them off of her. Just make sure there is food and water out for them all the time.

I would just let them eat when they want to at this point. They are going to see mom and follow through with her example, so they will probably eat when she does.
