LOL...chickie if I really knew the answer to that one, I'd be the richest person on earth. But I'll try to answer it from the experiences that I've had with various men (relatives, friends, partners, etc.). Men feel that they are at heart, still breadwinners, i.e. the head of the household. To many of them, it seems like a weakness if they cannot handle something physically or emotionally, so a lot of times, they will keep their feelings bottled up. When it gets to a point where this inward tendency turns into denial, then it's time for the intervention. But I believe that if that's the case, it should come from another man, for two reasons. One, men don't really listen to women! It's a scientific fact. Two, when women say anything that's not positive, men hear it as a criticism or an attack on their manhood (another reason they don't listen).

Because many men were raised to never speak up about anything. Your considered a whiner, and never taken seriously. It's not because we men are just born that way. It's how society conditions men from a young age. If society encouraged guys to speak up about whats bothering them, and take little boys equally as seriously as the girls are, instead of believing they are sissies for it, most men would communicate more. If fact, I find it odd that men communicating more is seen as weak because communication is how we problem solve, whether that be math, science, about sports, or about emotion. It all seems important. Your definitly not gonna make a relationship with your girlfriend or wife work without that communication. It won't work well if a guys a manager of a company either if he lacks communication skills, so It's definitly important, and should be more favored.

I hope that makes sense.

Same reason why SOME women always like to generalize and group all men as bad because they have a sad boyfriend or ex-boyfriend.

Perhaps you and your partner should work on some communication skills.

Cause men like to be in control. If they are not in control, they feel vulnerable and most men to not like to be vulnerable. They also feel like they have failed their loved ones in some way (whether it is their fault or not). They feel they should have been able to take care of the situation before it reached a crisis level.

Men are problem solvers, but they don't talk a lot about things. Women need to talk and discuss and review and then make decisions. We are just different.
