What's your opinion on the Minutemen? Do they do any good?

Those states directly on the border deal with the continual influx of illegals. They leave their trash around and violate property laws on there way through. It's the response of fed up American citizens at the government incompetence regarding the illegals. I think they provide a service but they walk a fine line. My understanding is they spot and report illegals to the border patrol seems like a good plan considering. They may not do much for the issue of illegals but it may help them feel they are doing something to preserve their States dignity. As long as they stay within there scope and don't turn into Wyatt Urp I think they are use full.

Although someone will say they are "a bunch of vigilantes" I am sure she thinks the same about people being vigilant when our community has an "Amber alert" and law enforcement asks for the help of the community too. At any rate, the minutemen are working well within the law, they have done more for America's awareness of this problem then any other organization. I am very thankful for their efforts.

I think as long as they obey the laws in the particular state they are helping, it is great. They are voluntary and helping us save money in tax dollars.

Maybe-- but if they are unarmed, than no... They are better off lecturing the American people than watching the border.
