Do not use any flea treatment from a pet store, flea collars are absolutely useless except in you vaccum cleaner bag. Only get something from the vet for the first application so you have the dosage exactly right. Call a vet -- his receptionist will undoubtably know if the kittens are old enough for flea medications.

Until they can be treated with that stuff, you have to comb, comb and comb some more. I used to heat a coffee cup of water in the micro, get some fleas on the comb and dip the comb quickly in the very hot water. The fleas died instantly.

A bath in Dawn will help drown some of the fleas and be aware that those little critters will head very fast for the kittens' orfices, eyes, ears. anuses etc. so you won't get all the fleas with a bath.

Take them to the vet to make sure they have fleas (unless you have actually seen them and know it's fleas)...there are many things that make cats itch and you don't want to make them sicker by assuming its fleas. Absolutely DO NOT buy anything over the counter unless you want dead kittens!!!! The vet should be able to recommend a product or treatment that is safe to use on them. There are a few safe enough for kittens that age. If they do have fleas and the cats are indoor (as they should be) you will probably also need to treat your house or they'll keep coming back. The vet should carry something for that as well.

go to the vet... you'll want to be careful with this since kittens are supposed to be 8 to 10 weeks before using flea medicines.

my kitty was about this age when i got him and he had a bad case of fleas. i was able to shop around and found a shampoo that was for kittens as well and used that. this helped to get him through until he was of age to use the stronger flea treatments.

since yours are so little, i'd see a vet to be on the safe side

they do have shampoo for fleas, but most require the kittens to be over 8 weeks of age. That's the same for Frontline. You can call and ask you local vet for more suggestions. Also, stay away from Sentinel and Cutter flea products, they tend to cause a lot of seizures in cats.

Go to the Humane Society and get some flea medicine

Take them to the vet. They might be too young to use advantage (that is what I use for my cats) What I did with mine is I gave it a bath with mild antibacterial soap and I picked every flea off. My kitten is 5 weeks old...almost weened from formula. Are these cats in your house? If so then you probably have them in your carpet ...furniture...beddding...ect. There are certain products available.to treat your carpet..try walmart. Even excessive sweeping can't get them all out of your carpet. With my experience...don't buy anything to treat fleas unless you get it from the vet or humane society...ect...Nothing from any store!

Let the fleas have the kitties and start building a flea circus.

No stick to what "steve l" says, did that too when I had this problem and that was maybe 20 years ago.

Ask your vet. I think most OTC products say the cat should be at least 8 weeks
