if i want to lose 1 pound (3500 calories) by walking how much walking do i have to do?(per hour)

At 115 pounds, walking a 15 minute mile for an hour burns about 261 calories. So 3500 / 261 = 13.4. So, that's approximately 13 1/2 hours to lose 1 pound assuming that you don't change what you are eating.

By the way, your weight sounds fine for your height. I wouldn't worry too much about losing weight. The walking would still be good for you, though.

Depends on your weight and speed.

Let's just say you weigh 155 pounds and walk at 4.0 miles per hour (4 miles). You will burn 281 calories. To burn 3500 calories you will need to walk at that speed for over 12 hours.

You will have travelled 49.8 miles to burn those calories. If you run that same distance at 7.5 miles per hour (8 min/mile) it would only take 6 hours and 40 minutes.

Ohh, you're a lot smaller than I thought. At only 115 pounds it doesn't take as much energy to move you... only 261 calories to walk 4 miles in an hour. To burn 3,500 calories it will take 13 hours and 24 minutes (over 53 miles!)

I recommend doing half of that mileage each week (running or walking). Your metabolism will go up, you'll look and feel great, and counting calories will be a thing of the past.

Your weight x distance = energy used walking. Time does not matter as much as distance. If you speed up to walking a mile in 13 minutes or less, you will be burning more calories per mile. A simple rule of thumb is 100 calories per mile for a 160 pound person.

i know you can lose a pound so easy by walking depending how fast you walk its not hard at all try walking 2 hours

Yes...walking is healthier...so try 1 hour a day....boy o' boy you will see results..
