in some countries like canada. But in some countries they have a different power system and will nedd an adapter

Depends where you are going to. Aside from the power requirements that you can buy an adapter for, different countries use different broadcast systems. Here in the USA we use NTSC. Great Britain uses PAL. The two systems are NOT compatible.
