Answer #2 is good, but if I may expand. Your depression may be a symptom of a blood sugar imbalance condition brought about by an overproduction of insulin.

This is why food and exercise are so important in the control of depression, because that is what increases and decreases the production of insulin.

For more information on blood sugar imbalances and the symptoms that can result, check out www.hufa.org.

I've had the same problem. 2 things I can tell you
1. get yourself doing some sort of exercise, Its tough when your depressed but endorphins are released when you do this.Try Yoga, walking, running whatever but get your heart moving.
2. look at the food you eat, is it all processed? fruit and veggies.

do these things for 1 week and then see if you don't feel better and if you do DON'T forget what made you feel better. I had to relearn this many times.

Good Luck

Talk about your issues with your closest family member or your best friend..talking about your problems is one of the best things you can do. Dont take them on all by yourself.
