I did for a while, but things were starting to get weird, the guy was older than me, and my mom freaked out! So, it ended a while ago.

My x boyfriend and i met off the internet, we were 2gether for a year and it was good while it lasted. Theres just as much chance of an internet relationship workin as any other. Just be careful when meeting up with people always public place tell someone where u r goin etc.Dont know why people look down on internet relationships could it be worse that meetin someone at a bar or club ? I dont think so

A friend of mine met a very nice man via the Internet, they went out for a while, then she moved to another country and I don't know how the relationship panned out after that.

Like anytime you meet someone, make sure it's in a public place, and that you can leave if you start feeling uncomfortable for any reason.

I have met some guys off of the net, but the relationships didn't last very long. One of them was long distance (sorry, but for me, long distance never works out), and the other one cheated on me with some other chick he met off the net. However, with all that being said, I know of some people that it's worked out great for. If you find someone who's willing to put in as much time and effort as you are, then there's a good possibility that it'll work out.

I personally haven't....but a close friend of mine has. I believe after months of chatting and getting to know one another, that their is possibility of a relationship. Speaking for myself, I think that looks on a person is not the first attraction, the first attraction is from what comes within a person.

it has worked for thousands of people - it's just a different way of "dating"....
I have met one or two but not with a view to any long term relationship.
Good luck to anyone - if it works.
It's alway wise to be cautious when meeting anyone - cos however well you think you know someone - they could just be the next mass murderer!!!!!

I've met a few guys over the net but I think I'm just picky,, they weren't freaks or anything like that and no different to the guys you'd meet in a pub,, the net's just another meeting place, in a manner of speaking.

No experience of this. Wouldn't try to put anyone off, but as in all relationships I would say be careful until you feel you know enough about the other person.

I'm not sure, you should definatley NOT meet up until you think you can TOTALLY trust him/her if you have even a single tiny doubt that you can't trust them then there is no point in building a relationship unless it stays over the internet!

I've met some people, but have never developed any relationships or even got intimate. Just didn't feel right for me. However, everyone is different.
