Eggs have vitamin E which is good for all hair. Mayonaisse has lots of nutrients that can help keep hair shiny!! Yes it is very good for your hair, but like anything, in moderation!!! Too much can make your hair greasy, and that is way gross!!!

I'm not sure how you would treat African American hair with those but... I do know that mayonaisse is a good deep conditioner. Have you used something like Luster's Pink Oil? You can apply the mayonaisse to your hair -- but put a cap on if you are sleeping because the oil in mayo will get all over your pillow and face. I have applied the mayo and put a plastic bag over my hair, then wrapped the mess in a warm towel for 15 or 30 minutes for extra deep conditioning. My only experience with eggs is that egg whites are a good fixative - you can get liberty spikes to really stand out and stay there with a heavy application of egg whites.

Do a search for recipes..they have a ton of recipes using at home..stuff...not just eggs and mayonnaise...also check out motowngirl.com....Eggs and Mayonnaise contain protein, they help strengthen the hair....
Wet whole head, gently message a whole beaten egg through hair, extra care on scalp. Let egg sit for a minute, then rinse with warm water. Massage mayonnaise in the same way, this time paying close attention to tips/ends of hair. Let mayonnaise sit for 2-3 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then shampoo. Do not condition after........This is one recipe that I found..go ahead and do a search on that site..and you'll see what people have tried and what results they get...Happy Reading!....

It is true. First u have to have mayonnaise or mayonnaise conditioner. Then add one egg mix them and put it on your head. This will make your hair shinny and give it body. After u rinse it off. Leave it on for about 15 minutes I've done this lots of times.

HEY :P yes its somewhat true but I take it a step farther I put pure olive oil in it put a plastic cap on then wash it out with a good moisturizes shampoo then before I get braids put it it wont make hair that softer depending on yr hair type but it does make it stronger and shiny.
