Ever had a job where you had to take people's info over the phone? Now imagine your child - every time she registers for school, the doctor, ... "that's JaNessa, capitol J, small a, capitol N, small....." That's the only reason I wouldn't do it - names are so personal, and I think well thought- out creative names can be wonderful, but it's great when other people can get them right without a spell-a-thon.

A parent that does not know grammar or wants to pretend the same? The capitalization and other rules of your language exist to make it easier to communicate through a common language. When you use an alternate, non-standard spelling or capitalization, trying to convey you are "diffeRent and shpeshial", people may interpret that as lacking communication skills.

The two capitals has to fit with the name. I don't like JaNessa. My middle name is LeAnn and my daughter's middle name is LeAnne. I love it that way. My first name doesn't have two capitals but is always pronounced and spelled wrong so I'm used to correcting people. My daughter's first name is Brooke, beautiful and classic and easy to spell and pronounce.

I think it is cute. It stands out, it doesnt mean that the parents or the child is bad. And it is not just a *** thing, many different people do this. And if anyone has a problem with it then dont worry about it. Worry about yourself and how people look at you if u are so worried about it. I look at it as if you dont like it then dont look.

What kind of parent would do this? The ultra-trashy kind from the ghetto who wants their child to grow up and work at McDonald's or a gas station for the rest of it's life.

I hate when people do that and then get upset when you write it wrong. At my daughters birthday party we personalized the party favors. One of her friends name was LeAnne- on the party favor it said Leanne. Her mother was furious and wouldn't let her keep it, because she insisted that I had spelled it wrong. Save your children the confusion and only capitalize the first letter in their name.

just because you don't like it doesn't mean that the parents are weird or bad or anything like that.

pick and choose your battles in life....
count yourself lucky if this is the main thing on your mind:)

oh, yeah...and don't name your kid like that....that's about all you can do!

take care.

p.s. i had a friend who's name was LeighAnn and i always thought her name was really pretty. it was combo of her parent's middle names.
people double capitalize my name alll the time. it's not supposed to be, but they do. it's b/c it sounds like 2 names.

What's your point? People have the right to spell their child's name any way they want. Why does this concern you? you don't have to name you child like that.
