my daughter is 7 and does preliminary pageants, state pageants, and national pageants... yes, just like JonBenet. there is nothing wrong with pageants if it is the desire of your child to compete in such a fashion! my daughter wants to be a model... we all had our dreams when we were small :)

Sunburst Pageants, American Miss Pageants, Cover Miss Pageants... check into those. ALSO there are three different types of pageants, there are NATURAL, LOW GLITZ, and HIGH GLITZ. before entering your child into ANY pageant take the time to watch the pageants of each circuit in your area. ALSO, check to see what the prizes are for each. you will want your child to compete in a prelim first. there is NO POSSIBLE WAY you can compete (and gain ANY title) against girls that have had years of coaching and run way experience (state & national level). best of luck to you & your little diva :)

Child pageants are a form of child abuse. What a loving parent you must be to want to parade your child around like a piece of meat.

Please don't put your child in pageants..it's really not as fun as it looks. Plus, that's only teaching your children that people only like them when they have 50 lbs of make up on their faces and whore-ish outfits on. It's not worth it.

Did the whole news of JonBenet spark this question? Did the news of her murder make the whole pageant think look fun?

Has JonBenet's murder inspired you to dress your daughter like a whore and parade her around for the benefit of obsessive paedophiles?

thats alot of presure to put on a child. we all think our children are beutiful...lots of these pagents are just scams to get you to put your child through acting classes or modeling classes and scuch. its really a way to get u in the door and try and take your money.

Ask yourself why you would want to do that to your daughter--at what age do you want her to start obsessing with her weight and looks?

Don't stick her in one of those just because you want to feel important. Get her involved in sports.
