Different creatures, Ag-Lo. Unless you have managed to find the Missing Link which could 'prove' a common ancestor, humans and monkeys are two different species of Creation.
Put another way, when has it been known that a monkey birthed anything other than a monkey?

This question reminded me of the Simpsons episode about evolution and creationism. Evolution was proven to be true in the court case because Homer was acting like the missing link Ape Man in a picture and Ned Flanders flipped out and called him an ape.
It is believed we are genetic decendents of an Ancient race of Apes which started to evolve. The only problem is a gap between these evolving apes and where the earliest known human can be traced. So all we can do is wait until that connection is proven.

Wrong. If you take a look at the genetic structure of both humans and monkeys, we're actually quite similar. If you can think of any other scientific (keyword there, it means factual proof...not some fairy-tale, make-believe crap) way we evolved to where we are now, I'd be glad to hear it.
Oh, after reading the answers, I should point out that evolution takes millions of years...and not just 89 years of an old lady's life.

Stay in school. After viewing your question, I took a guess, along with friends and we figure that you must be in the 17th grade.
From us to you,
HANG IN THERE,
Our questions to you is:
Do you ride the little bus to school and does everyone and everything seems really big to you.
To really answer your question, people did not come from apes, people evolve from other species of a human form and through out the centuries, these species moved about the planet and due to the changes in the climate, these species changed as well or adapted to the changes, because the longer they remained in one place, the body changed to accommodate the environmental changes placed on it. The human body has now reached its height or max as to how or if it could make any more changes.
The rest of this story, I don't think I could share with you because of the sensitivity of the readers.
Hope that answers your question

According to Darwinian theory, monkeys and humans both evolved from primates. Although we share a very similar genetic structure with many modern-day apes, our species have grown very far apart over the centuries.
It might also interest you to know that when doctors try new organ transplant techniques, they use pigs because pigs' bodies react more like humans'. Isn't that comforting?

We dont know that for sure..According to evolution we may have all come from some other species, and even if we did come from Monkeys, we had several steps in between before we became humans...

Evolution is a lie. Humans dod not "descend" from monkeys. We are created beings made in the image of our God and given dominion over the world and all that is within it.
Evolution is a lie that tries to explain creation without God. It has been used to justify slavery, genocide, bigotry, and all manners of hubristic evils in world history. It is propped up by false evidence and hatred. And is an excuse for modern American xenophobia and Eugenics.

Sometimes when I look at the world, I can understand why the monkeys are always scratching their heads.
I often wondered if we came from monkeys or did the monkeys come from us...

If humans came from monkeys wouldn't monkeys have evolved into humans by now? I have been alive 44 years and haven't seen one case of it and my 89 year old grandmother hasn't either.
We didn't come from apes. We were created by God and everything created was created in their own species.

Correct. We share similar genes which suggests a common ancestor.
