Well, it really sounds like all of you are little kids who play too much socom, or rainbow six or what not. Well except for OkiDoki, I like the pillow at twenty paces thing, very orginal. Seriously, a barret 50. know I know you havent fired that rifle before, and should be happy you dont have to. Imagine gaining a position on an enemy carrying the worlds heaviest rifle, plus ammo, backup weapon, ruck, gilli suit, and food for 4 days all while its either 140 degrees, 40 degrees just depending where you are. Then setting up postion and waiting for 12 days for one shot, while only having food and water for 4. Fun times, besides it kicks too much, and it breaks a lot. Rather have a .308. But for War the ultimate weapon would have to be a MOAB, or an A-10 loaded to the hilt, or possibly an f-23, a super cobra, or even an ac-130 spectre gunship. If your gonna destroy a small country, why not do it in style?

An M107 .50 cal Sniper's Rifle. Why get close enough to get shot yourself?

If I had to get in close, I don't know which modern weapon I'd go with (maybe an MP10, .40 or .45 caliber) but I would have chosen an Thompson Sub-Machine Gun back in the 1940's. Pretty high rate of fire, and those .45 ACP rounds pack one hell of a punch.

And if you're in real close, there is nothing better than the put down power of 00 buckshot from a tactical shotgun.

M16 or variants.....lots of ammo and spare parts. Proven assault weapon, very adaptable and can be fitted with grenade launchers etc. Besides, it's easy to use.
Second choice is a 7.62 mm semi auto rifle known as the FN SLR. Packs a wallop!!

I would choose an Ak-47 and a rocket launcher. The Ak-47 is the most commonly used gun in the world, which means that there is something good about it. I even saw a picture of bin Laden using one before. I would choose a rocket launcher because some of them can blow up tanks if you fired at them right. They also can take out multiple people in one shot.

I would probably pick the M4 Carbine and a Russian RPG with a stock pile of ammo!

I would take the G36 Assault Rifle, because it is quite a sophisticated weapon with a good scope and an integrated grenade launcher, is not too heavy and quite easy to handle.

Give me a radio with air support on the other end and I'm a happy man.

The smart soldier uses his supporting fires every time he is in contact with the enemy.

I carried the same M16A1 for nine years in the National Guard #4296963. I'm sentimentally attached to the weapon and would want that particular one to accompany my radio.

A Russian AKM (modernized AK-47) rifle, or a Heckler and Koch G3A3. With either of those, I'd have plenty of knockdown power.

M16's are crap, and they always have been! A .22 Caliber which has little knockdown power! Give me an M14, M1, or M16 any day over that misconceived weapon!

The weapon I would chose to go to war with is what has always won wars! The soldiers!! You can't win a war without them!
