My brother is kind of freaking out. He found out his girlfriend, and he are kinda sorta related through marriage. See his girlfriend is his 2nd cousins husbands daughter from his first marriage. So they are not related through blood at all, but he still is kinda freaked. What should he do? Better yet what would you do in this situation? He asked me what I think of this situation, but I really don't know what I think of it!

well if they aren't related, then I wouldn't worry about it, if they really like eachother then thats all that matters

Oh man thats brutal, however there isn't anything wrong with that. The main reason why family relationships shouldn't happen is due to the increased birth defect rate. With them not being of the same family blood they should be fine. Just as long as the family is alright with it, and they are themselves.

If it ain't blood kin and he cares about her, it'll be ok. They are not really even related in that connection. Tell him to just calm down, take a deep breath and just realize that they are not related.

they arent blood related and they are only 2nd cousins. so thats going for them. if he really loves her than it shouldnt be a problem. tell him to relax and tell him not to totally freak.

He's o.k. The bloodline is so distant, that technically they aren't related by blood, just marriage.

How long have they been going out? If they have a serious relationship, the connection isn't close enough to warrant breaking up over.

they're not related by blood nor did they grow up together thinking that they were cousins....continue with life, this doesnt change anything

well if its not blood then i think he shouldnt worry about it... but if his feelings are strong on feeling weird then i think he should really think long and hard if he can still be with her and be happy if he answers yes then they should stay together...
