"According to Al-Aqsa Foundation, the Israeli forces demolished more than 1,200 mosques during 1948 alone.
Israeli occupation authorities have turned 18 mosques into Jewish synagogues. It added that other 16 Muslim places of worship were turned into animal farms, pubs and restaurants."
