well, you know in the bible, it dosen't really talk about dinosaurs by name, but calls all animals "beasts" so that's kind of vague. but God created everything, therefore, he created dinosaurs as well. also, scientists say that there were no humans in existence during the period of the dinosaurs, and the Bible says that God created the universe in 6 days (on the seventh, He rested) but it dosen't tell you exactly HOW long a day was to God. A day could've been a million years for all we know. I only say that because my husband refuses to believe that dinosaurs ever walked the earth since the Bible does not mention them and because scientists say that dinosaurs walked the earth millions of years ago, but he says that the Bible says the earth is only a few thousand years old. trying to widen his thought perspective, but in the end, I guess it all just comes down to faith.

My opinion is that they may have coexisted. The story of The Creation, in the Bible is just that, a story. Moses wrote the book of Genesis, very long after the events would have occured. The story of the earth forming and Adam and Eve is much like a parable that Jesus would have told. God created the world and man. He gave man free will, and man turned away from God. The story of Adam and Eve symbolizes this. In my opinion, we were not all to believe that Adam and Eve actually existed.

When non American Christians look at George Bush and at the American Christians, they believe that man and dinosaur can co-exist. Amazing mother nature!

I live in Scotland and have known hundreds of Christians of about 5 different denominations... I've only ever met one creationist, who was a Texan (great guy - makes burgers for everyone piling out the pub at 1am) - everyone else I've asked believe that evolution was guided by God... And have certainly never met anyone who thinks that dinosaurs and man lived in the same era. I think we have institutions over here for folk who go about saying things like that... ;-)

Science and carbon dating prove that there are millions of years between the extinction of dinosaurs and the origins of man

I think it would have been pretty cool but too bad the dinosaurs died long before man were on the Earth.

I think that's an impossiblity. Because we already know that the dinosaurs came first before man's existence.

That's quite disturbing thought; it would require me to dump a huge amount of scientific research and reasoning in favor of literal interpretation of the Bible (which easily leads into serious conflicts with modern science, not to mention laws and ethics). In my opinion we were given ability to reason for some other purpose than to seduce us into evil.
