Just to make a point, Aiden O'Brien is NOT Vincent O'Brien's son, they are not related in any way. O'Brien is a very common name in Ireland!
Aiden O'Brien was in fact a National Hunt (jumps) trainer before he was asked to become the trainer for Coolmore.
The current leading trainer in Ireland for the 2006 Flat season is Dermot Weld 43 winners. Although Aiden O'Brien has won more in prize money this year (nearly €2,480,000), he has saddled only 34 winners.
As far as the trainer of the most winners in Ireland, try the Racing Post website, you may find something there.
