i believe it was THE EXORCIST, starring Ellen Bernstyn. it depicts the demonic possession of a young girl, ragen. in the movie her mother seeks the support of two jesuit priests to conduct an exorcism. i won't reveal anymore of the plot except to say frightening is an understatement.
