Agnostic here, not trying to convert anyone,

Someone in one of my other answers said something that provoked a little thought in my head (isn't that awesome!) So I have a Bible at home that has a concordance that talks about how in Revelation the 7 churches are representative of 7 time periods, the first church written about was first century, second church aftr the fall of the temple until rome accepted it, third the medival, fourth the prodestant reformation, etc.

So this answer in another question earlier said Adam and Eve represent the first church, (assumption by me is he meant the first time era of God-believers).

As a believer in evolution and these things I see the first humans as portrayed as cavemen, and a historical first church as a priest that goes up a building to sacrafice to a sun god.

So, the Adam and Eve story representing a first "true God" church, what were their lives like, etc.

Asking for peoples interpretation of a non literal Adam and Eve, thanks

"Church," as you mention, requires formation. Structure. Two people adoring God are not a church. It's a worship service.

LOL!

Adam and Eve are most often called our "First Parents." But not the first church. The "church" didn't come along until after Jesus came. The first church would have happened at Pentacost. Which is when a lot of folks celebrate the "birth of Christianity."

Even though, according to Acts of the Apostles we were first called Christians much later, in Antioch.

The first "Church" was formed by the apostles after Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven with Peter, the apostle being the head of that church. Believe that's the first time one hears of church being mentioned in relation to a belief . Church has always been associated with the Christian Belief and NOT PAGANISM. You mention that you think the first historical church as a priest going up a building to sacrifice to the sun god. The belief in a sun god is attributed to the ancient Maya and Aztec Indians of South America and going up a building is the "priest" would go up many steps to the sacrifice altar and usually involved human sacrifice. But these are Civilizations and not churches. To learn about Adam and Eve read Genesis of the Christian Bible. Their lives were not easy after they were thrown out of the Garden of Eden-for had to toil, work the land to grow food and so forth, felt pain, had illness all those things we humans have to endure. In the Garden of Eden all was provided by God and even clothes were not necessary for in this garden the temperature was always comfortable and even clothes were not needed. Glad you're thinking-why i invite you to read Bible and then think some more. Have a happy life and wish you well.

Well...Adam and Eve, literally speaking, were with God before the fall, so they were pure at that time. You could take this to mean that the 'first church' after Christ's death and resurrection, was the most pure, truthful, and honest, and adhered to His words to the letter, New-Testament speaking of course. It would make sense to me to put it that way. Just out of curiosity, what Bible are you using?

The word church means "called out". It does not apply to Adam and Eve. It applies to those of this age (from Jesus' first coming to Jesus' second coming) who will be resurrected, thus 'called out'.

You do recall, of course 1 Thess 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." KJV

The Old Testament frequently utilizes the word "congretation", but never the word church. This word simply means an assembly, company, congregation or multitude

Patriarchal and stupid. Naked people everywhere is O.K., but talking snakes would mean, maybe they took halucinogens to see and get close to "god". Or, is it the last bit of a recollection of alien visitors who had a hand in manipulating the first humans into a more civilized state. Then, the snake who talks could be a snake-like device that worked like an intercom, and the people heard talking on it and learned something that made them want to rebell aggainst the aliens, who left when the people became hostile. So, then man had to work for food, instead of it being handed to them like the pets they were to the aliens. BRILLIANT

Adam and Ever were the first people created by God. Adam and Eve fell from grace, because they believed Satan instead of God. So death came with Adam and Eve. Then God promised a saviour which is Christ our Lord, who gave Himself willingly to take our sins upon Him, in order to reconcile us to God. Adam = earthly who represents death, Christ= heavenly spiritual. who represents life.
People who believe that Christ is head of the church are the believers and God has his chosen from any nationality or religion. If they confess that Christ is Lord and God raised Him from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15:45
So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being" ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

So Adam was indeed a prototypical natural man bound for death and no way to avoid it, and Jesus the ascended man having attained and provided the way for all men to everlasting life.

Adam is a "type of Christ" meaning their are similarities between him and Jesus. They were both the first of their kind and the catalyst for a trend. Adam unfortunately was the catalyst for fallen man, death reigned in man through him, life came to all mankind through Jesus.

Stick to evolution Jim. You are much better at that than you are at Bible interpretation. Your interpretation of the seven churches is fanciful, not historical. Jesus loves you.
