Maybe you should wash it more thouroly and make sure that all the conditioner comes out of your hair. Another problem is that you dont shower enough, you you put a lot of hairspray and gel and it doesnt get washed out all the way. You also may need to switch shampoos or use less hair products. Try looking for Shampoo and Conditioner made specifically for oily hair.

i used to suffer from the same problem, and im sure like me its not because you dont wash it often enough. try using a shampoo that is "cleansing" rather than specifically for greasy hair, as these will clean your hair throughly. also be aware of how much conditioner you use, if you have greasy roots concentrate using more conditioner on the ends and less on the roots. as with shampoo and conditioner make sure all products are thoroughly washed out of your hair. another thing to consider is if you live in a city the pollution can affect your hair so a cleansing shampoo is good for this, and if you live in a soft water area your hair may also react to this so try looking for shampoo's to use with soft water, Lush do a good one.

im a hairdresser, and i know it sounds stupid but if you wash your hair with washing up liquid it will dry your hair out and stop it feeling so greasy. i dont recommend you do this all the time though! once a month or something and the rest of the time wash it with shampoo for greasy hair, and only use conditioner on the ends not on the roots!

Try using very little or no conditioner, find a good shampoo for greasy hair and don't overload it with products. Don't wash your hair everyday, this makes your scalp over compensate and start producing even more grease, because it thinks its dry. Try not to play with your hair too. You can get powders and stuff that you put in your hair and it absorbs the moisture, its like talcum powder.

Stop using shampoo, shampoo is harsh and strips your hair of it's natural oils - as a result your scalp will produce more oils to try to compensate for the loss. As shampoo is so harsh we have conditioner to replace the oils lost, but conditioner does not last for long so needs to be replenished. The more you wash your hair the more greasy it will become.

Try going no-poo, shampoo-free, this will stop your hair from being greasy and vastly improve the condition of your hair.

If you have curly hair you can just use conditioner on its own, natural conditioners such as those found at Lush or Neal's Yard would be best for your hair, but any conditioner will do. If not then you can use baking soda and apple cider vinegar.

Use one tablespoon of baking soda per one cup of warm water, some people use less, some use less water, it is all a matter of finding what works best for your hair and altering it for things like hair length, although you shouldn't use more baking soda as this will make your hair hard. Then use a mix of one part apple cider vinegar to ten parts water and use it as a rinse over your hair after you have used the baking soda and water mix to wash your hair with. You can also use a little bit of olive oil at the ends of your hair to help condition if you are prone to split ends.

you shouldn't wash your hair every day, as that will just make it worse. if there are days when you don't go out anywhere, you might want to go through a phase of washing your hair only every 3-4 days. this is what i have been trying. your hair will not get greasy as quickly and when you do wash it, it will be a lot softer and easier to manage!

I deal with this problem myself. I keep my hair off my face and powder my forehead to keep the oils out of my bangs. In the summer, I wash my hair every day (with gentle shampoo).

I also avoid eating too many greasy/fatty foods.

Everyone says wash it! But no dont do that! A professional hair expert will tell you to not wash your hair every day. This makes it greasier. Use natural shampoos that are not harsh on your hair, harsh products, strip the hair of its natural oils. Therefore makin gyour hair VERY VERY greasy.

First, get a shampoo and a conditioner that are specially formulated for oily hair.

When you wash your hair, make sure you scrub your scalp, not just your hail. Your scalp is what generates the oil, not your hair. Your hair is just dead cells that the oil basically slides down.

Also, the shorter your hair the more oily it seems... there is less hair to absorb the same amount of oil from your scalp. So, you may want to try letting your hair grow longer.

Take a shower every morning and eat less greasy foods. Amazingly enough grease from food causes your face and hair to be greasy.
