If you are not in a calm state of mind, you should not drive right away.
I would call the hospital or any local relative to check on her condition. It hopefully is a minor or manageable issue, which will ease your mind.
You would have to make travel arrangements based on her condition (and yours). Your husband is not being a good partner here. Your spouse should support you when you need help like this. If not, you may want to evaluate that relationship.

Don't know why your husband won't go to see your Mom at emergency room with you......he can't get off work or what?
Do you have transportation to get there yourself?
If it was my Mom, who also is 2 hours away, I'd keep in touch with my sisters who live there for updates...do you have any other relatives who can keep you up to date on Mom's status?

If you are close to your Mom like I am with my mom then I say you should go. This wouldn't even be a question for me. I would be gone in a flash! If you are still contemplating it then call the hospital she is in and find out if she is ok and then see if she is allowed visitors or even is she wants visitors. Some people are self conscious of how they look hooked up to machines and don't want loved ones to remember them that way. But I still would go!

don't be scared...it's ok. no matter what happens, at least u will go and find out what has happened. u will feel better knowing that u did all u could to be there for her. since ur husband doesn't want to help you, you and he will always know that HE didn't do all he could to help u and ur mother. but u can't control him, u can control urself.
remember, she doesnt' live hours or a flight away, u can drive there. find a friend, sister or bro, or go alone if u have to. i know ur scared, but ur mother is scared too. try to help her, it's obvious that you care~ good luck~

Its ok to be scared but just be brave and go to your mom and its tells her that you love her and you want to support her in an every way!!! You don't need your husband to go with you. you can do it by your self and you just need to be brave and see whats wrong... then you will be very calm when you go down there to see what happen..because you love her and you support her !

Go to the hospital. Your husband is being very inconsiderate, it's not like she's going in for a regular check-up, this must be serious.
I hope everything'll be okay...Good luck.

Get in the car and go down there. I'd tell him that he should go with you. Why would he want you to be on the road, alone, upset?!
That's something to deal with later, maybe. Go see your mom if you want.
