Imagine you were a "good christian". Followed all the rules, gave to the church, asked forgiveness for your sins, yadda yadda yadda.

All of a sudden you are in a car accident and suffer a brain injury. This brain injury has now caused you to act like a different person. You become angry more often, you're hurtful, you're dishonest and you do not ask forgiveness for your sins. (it is possible, and has happened numerous times, 1st year psychology textbooks cite numerous examples)

Do you still get into heaven, and why or why not?

I seem to be getting a lot of cop out answers.

Once saved, always saved doesn't add up with blasphemy causing eternal damnation.

Y'all are trying to use logic and reason to justify a book which has no logic or reason.

God doesn't accept you based on your being a Christian or how many good acts you do.

There is only one way God will accept you and that's by your acceptance of Jesus Christ.

In order for Sin to occur there has to be 1.Knowledge of sin 2then there has to be 2.Choice -which falls under Free Will-givean to us by God when we were created, for God did not make us puppets, A Brain Tumor that affects the brain and its chemistry interferes with Choice and Free will and so No Sin Occurs. Above all God is Just-does not just judge the act but looks into the spirit ,the very soul of us. A God that would be so small minded and mean spirited would also not have been loving enough to die for us.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if there is a heaven, and a god, then you're in.

God works in wierd ways is what I hear, and its possible he would "use" a person in order to test the faith of others.

Then again, there is likely no historical basis for this as there were no car accidents when the Bible was being put together. Donkey wrecks are usually far less damaging. Insurance is better too. So if God sticks to the letter of the law, ie Bible. Then you're screwed and you're headed to hell.

I personally think you're getting in. The Bible is too archaic.

First of all, don't let anyone tell what's forgiven by God and what is not, God is the only Judge and He knows every reason why things happened.

Second: No body on this earth has followed all the rules "GOD's RULES" the ones who claim they have, their are nothing but self righteous hypocrits. While in the flesh, we all fall short. The least we can do is try. And God forgives us when we repent and ask for forgiveness. That's why he sent His only Begotten son, because He loves so much; and whosoever believes in Him shall enherit an eternal life.

I don't know if I would go to heaven or not because I don't make that decision. But all of those good and bad thing that happen is all God plans, He has planned everything from the beginning even before I'm born and there's a good reason behind that plan, He works in a mysterious way.

I personally believe that God knows your heart and intentions. He knows why you do what you do. I feel like you would still be able to get to heaven. Put it this way you are a "child" of God, kinda like you are a child of your parents, just because you have this brain injury doesn't mean that your parents don't love you and forgive you. That's how I feel God is. He's your Heavenly father.

That's kinda like, my little brother was born with Downs Syndrome, we go to church and he believes in Jesus, but sometimes he tells stories. I still beleive that when he dies he'll go to heaven, because he is only held accountable for what he understands.

I hope I helped.

Last night my preacher was explaining that when you do get judged by God that He's not going to compare you to other humans, but to Christ and how Christlike you were here on earth. Maybe the guy will, maybe the guy won't, we will never know heaven until we get there. Another thing is that you have to realize that God sees the intentions of our hearts not our brains.

if you were really a good christian as you said you should have know that god can forgive you for your sins if you stopped doing it and asked his forgiveness and about your injury may be it's just an experiment from god to see how are you gonna handle it and if it will affect you and separate you from god or not
so, if you really have faith return to your normal life you will see how god is gonna help u in your life and sure get into heaven

Yes, once you are born from above you belong to God. He does not take His Holy Spirit from you. The Bible say we are sealed until the day of redemption.(Ephesians1:13-14, Ephes. 4:30)
We are instructed not to grieve the Holy Spirit. Now, consider this, if The Holy Spirit left us when we sin, He would not be grieved, He would just leave!
Christ died for my past, present and future sins! Remember, when He died all of my sins were in the future anyway!

If you were saved and then got brain damage you would still go to heaven. Brain damage is like a mental problem. They can't help how they are acting and God knows it. So they would be ok

You might also ask: what if you suffered a brain injury that left you in a coma, unable to think, move, pray, or to even know that God exists?

And the answer is this: God would still love you. '

Always God will love you.
