I will take you seriously.

Firstly the bible is not a disney creation.

If you were to read some of this in the Bible you may receive some "message" , if you'll allow me to say that.

As a Christian, you're becoming one by personal revelation, you might say. No one says to just believe it even though as a kid, that may be the only info you get as you can't really get more because you are not mature enough to understand.

You may study it or you may read it and perhaps by meditating on it. God may speak to you then, if your heart is open to it. It is a personal relationship that you develop with God through Jesus Christ..

The best source in my opinion is to read Matthew (for chronoligical facts of Jesus), then the Book of John for a little spritual approach to the same stories and then tothe book of Romans written by the apostle Paul which gives a real good look at what it is all about . You may find it somewhat fascinating, even. It will make real sense to you.

You may not become Christian as a result but you'll get a very good idea at what Christianity is all about first hand and not what other people say it is (who haven't read it).

If you want me to send you a copy just email me the address (US only) and I'll get one to you.

PS...I just read what Brenda wrote and if you look at the Bible and read it for yourself...in the context it was written it will show that it says nothing like Brenda says it does. That's why you trust nothing to others but to yourself.

You can believe Little Red Riding Hood if you want to. Let me ask this though, what benefit is there to believing in it?

One of the great things about being an American is that you have freedom of religion, choice, etc... You still have to deal with the consequences of what you choose though.

I read Hillary Clinton's autobiography which she claims to be true. It doesn't mean I have to believe it is all true because someone says it is.

The bible is 100% true and accurate, written through the words of god herself. There is a wise saying: "I am who I says I am, and if I wasn't, then why would I says I am?" Do you think M&Ms came up with that? No. God thought of it first. The Bible teaches us to be good so we don't end up like a marshmellow in a camp fire. Is that how you want to end up? The little mermaid was created by man, hence the penis hidden in the castle on the cover. You have to make a decision. Were you created by man (sperm and egg) or god? All books are written by the Creator (of that book).

You shouldn't choose the Bible over anything, ever. Your other books mentioned are much better, and all religious people should read them instead.

The Bible is Trash.

The Bible is the biggest load of garbage and codswallop ever written by man, and I’m sure it will go down in history as the greatest load of gobbledygook ever to inflict such traumatic mental and physical damage on humanity, but still today, some people sadly believe the Bible to be true. That’s very sad indeed. Very sad.

When people quote various passages from the Bible, for example ...

Mathew 5:29-30 God encouraged self-mutilation.
Isaiah 13:15-18 God allowed women raped and little children slaughtered.
Genesis 6:11-17 and 7:11-24 God is the greatest mass murder in history.

What happens? Religious people pop up from under every stone with the same old garbage. “That was the old Bible, or we’ve changed the meaning, or we’ve changed the context, or the quotes are out of context or or or, excuse after excuse.”

The fact is, they are Bible quotes, and the Bible is full of evil atrocities which religious people continually cover up, yet seem happy to drum into the minds of gullible little children. This is such a shameful disgrace in a civilised world.

If religious people are unable to apply commonsense and logic to develop a simple moral code to live by, then perhaps they could strip out of the Bible the evil, murders, rapes, abuse, and all traumatic references. Granted there will not be a lot left to read, but at least religious people may end up with a decent moral code to follow based on good, and not scare the living daylights out of innocent little children.

Because the Bible is the way my young child. Read upon morrows eve and nightway, and thou shast light up thy soul within a fortnights turtlewag. Meek travelors and swarthy hogs alike, turn to turtledoves upon a read of the good pages.

Know what I'm talkin bout?

What about the Illiad or the Odyssey? Many people once believed in the gods and goddesses of those epic stories. What if we worshiped Achilles or Odysseus?

I see where you're going and you have a good point. I have often asked the same question. Good luck getting an intelligent answer.

I don't recall the Brothers Grimm or Hans Christian Andersen or Jeanne-Marie LePrince de Beaumont claiming their fairy tales were "true".

Nevertheless, I find much in fairy tales to be true even though fairy tales are not historically factual.
