Depends on your hair texture. I like (in this order) Paul Mitchell's Foaming Pomade, Nexxus Versastyler, and Frizz Ease Mousse. I find they work on a variety of ethnicities.

For me I use Pantene Pro V sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner and then I use Pantene Pro V defrizzer for me but you see I use at night before I go to bed and just let it loose and Voila! A Wavy Hair!

Matrix tends to have the best hold. But it's expensive and Dove works nearly as well.
