The Greek alphabet is an alphabet that has been used to write the Greek language since about the 9th century BC. "Omega" (Ω ω) is the 24th and last letter. In the Greek numeric system it had a value of 800. The word literally means "great O" (ō mega, mega meaning 'great').

The last letter in the Greek alphabet is OMEGA.
Somewhere in the Bible it says that Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, meaning the beginning and the end.

I don't know where these guys who say "zeta" are coming from. They obviously have zero knowledge of Greek. The last letter of the Greek alphabet for at least 2700 years is Omega.

I'm Greek. Those people who wrote "OMEGA" are right.
It actually means "O-big" in comparison with the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet which is OMIKRON and means "O-small".

Omega. Thus when the Greek translation of the NT had Jesus saying "I am the Alpha and the Omega" it meant "I am the Beginning and the End."
