Re-work the potty training while comforting him. It's possible that the loss of his Grandmother is affecting him more than perhaps anyone expected it would. Children react differently to things. Try assuring his feelings of what has happened, all the while re-working the potty training. Also remember, as hard as it is, and believe me hun I know -- when he senses that you are upset hes going to act out, even if he doesnt understand whats making you that way. Good luck.

How old is he, has anything new started recently (school, baby sibling, some other kind of life change) or has he mastered some other new major skill recently? (riding a bike, scooter some other major motor skill) if he is under the age of 3 -3 1/2 he probably wasnt as "completely potty trained" as you thought he was, also any time a child masters something new sometimes they slack on "old" skills, if there has been a life changing even he is reverting back for comfort reasons (not something he is doing all on his own, thats how young kids react to things alot) if he has been in underwear the whole time do not put him back in diapers, get some of those absorbent underwear (old fashioned potty training underwear, before they had pull ups) that will help him to feel when he is wet and also to help keep the accidents off his pants. If he has been in diapers or pull up for the most part then I would keep him in them for awhile still , but it would be helpful to know how old he is

I am not a mother but I can tel you what my mother did to potty train my older sister. My sister and her stayed in a single room all day (the floor was hard and could easily be cleaned). Then My mom had my sister drink juice or water to make her have to go. The training seat was right there and easy to get to. If she went into the trainer my sister got a treat if not she had to help my mom clean up the mess (that was the real trick). From the very next day on she was completely potty trained.

first of all - has anything changed in his life that might be stressing him or gotten him off his schedule? how about you? did something affect you and maybe he can sense it? that can be the cause, if so just let it take its course and it will get better and in time, when hes fully ready, itll happen. this happened to my son and then he starting wetting again. he wasnt fully potty trained until almost 4 yrs old. dont worry about it too much, hes still young. good luck :)

for a lot of kids i have worked with, that seems to be a security thing. If there has been any change in the home he might resort back to doing it. Make sure to praise him when he goes in the potty, and dont scold him when he has accidents. good luck sweety.

I am so sorry to hear about your mother's passing.
I am sure that it has to do with that.
Just put him back in diapers for now.
He will start to feel uncomfortable after a while (don't buy the ones with super absorbancy - make sure he can feel it, they sell those kind now).
He will start to miss being a "big boy" and ready to use the potty again.
Best wishes.

Sit down and think back has anything changed in his life to make him do that such as a new baby a divorce or a split up. It could even be a pet die or a family member die or move away even a friend!

see what's changed, maybe his rebelling in the only way he can, toddlers can understand more than we think, ask him why he's doing it, maybe he can show you what's wrong, He could be doing it to get a reaction out of you. but worst comes to worse put a diaper back on him. ( my sister gained custody of her nephew and niece and the boy did the same thing, but he was older and the little girl reverted back to baby talk but after 2 months they out grew it and flourished)

please do not get hasseled, kids behave like this in reaction to some external stress. is everything alright in his small world, hope the parents are not having diffrences, or any other familiy troubles. Gain his confidence, comfort,,, NEVER RIDICULE OR HUMILIATE. tender loving care should solve this issue.
god bless happy parenting
