its mashed chick-pea and olive oil with some spices, spread... it is a great souce of protien, especially for vegetarians... try it sometime... unlike tofu, it's actually good.

It's a bean dip or spread made from chickpeas, tahini (sesame paste), garlic and lemon juice. It's really good as a dip for raw veggies or pita bread, and also good on a sandwich with cucumbers, tomatoes, black olives and onion and lettuce. haha actually it is a GREEK sauce. Well, not really a sauce, it is a spread that one would normally spread on pita bread. And I love it! You can pick it up at any grocery store in the deli section, or I like going to Dinos Gyros!
