Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a cluster of symptoms experienced by people who have just been through an out of the ordinary, jarring experience or prolonged period of such. You can probably google those words in quotes and then add "dsm-IV" (the diagnostic statistical manual IV).

I would caution you against making your own diagnosis- people who are not trained in the use of the DSM usually diagnose themselves even if they only have a few symptoms.

P.T.S.D. is post traumatic stress disorder. Generally you only have p.t.s.d. after a traumatic experience (hence the name) and it usually takes a while to get through it. Most people don't know they are going through it without going to see some kind of healthcare professional and it's usually treated with lot's of therapy and drugs. Don't worry though, it's not contagious :)
