I think that it's all about personal comfort. You tend not to know what's really up with your urges until about age 17. Then it's usually just personal exploration time. Figure out how comfortable you are with yourself and your person if interest. Boy or girl, wait until you are more of a man or woman. Maturity is the key. Sex is fun, but only if done with clear conscience.
Just ALWAYS be safe, smart, and wear protection!!!

ultimately, it is bad for both boys and girls since nowadays each sex wants to have alot of different partners and most people just can't settle down for the rest of their lives, hence the high divorce rate, on the other, the fact that even if you wait for the one, people can always divorce anyway thus just placing them back into the pool of not being a virgin anymore.
I did, would I go back on it and change it? no b/c I have doubts in marriage anyway. The solution to this question would be based on personal choices, if you wait and u truly do believe u have the one, then u should wait, but if you don't want wait to experience it, then you are pretty much an ordinary sexually curious person. It is rare to find somebody who waits till marriage at least in the USA. The choice is yours.

I am a woman and i waited until I was married. It's better. My little sister is 18 and she has had 3 sex partners that I know of and everyone left her. It damaged her self esteem so much. If you change sex partners frequlently you have a greater risk of disease and by time you find someone you want to marry you have some form of STD and they are turned off by it. It's much better to wait and share your first time with the person you will be with forever.
