If you are a bachelor like me who hates to cook, yet wants to eat healthy, doesn't want to spend alot of money and doesn't have more than 10-15 minutes to prepare a meal, it is for you.

I bought one 4 years ago. Cleaning the grease is a lot of trouble, but these day they have models that have detachable surfaces that are dishwasher compatible.

I use it only for grilling chicken breast and flank steaks

i might want to ought to assert it relies upon on what you're cooking. once you're searching at cooking cuts of beef, like a steak, I genuinely have stumbled on that the grill does not practice dinner them ok. Searing them in a forged iron skillet and ending them interior the oven is the nearest element to cooking on an outside grill. even if, because you're saying you're into cooking healthful, i'm assuming you're reducing out larger fat ingredients like beef. The foreman grill chefs fowl ok, and quite immediately. you should use all kinds of marinades or seasonings, because the interior surfaces are lined with a non-stick end. Fish will also practice dinner ok interior the grill. With all ingredients, you'll have run off of extra fat from the nutrition, it truly is stuck interior the drip pan. choosing your element length and type of nutrition is the healthiest element you could do. The foreman grill is an user-friendly to apply, indoor utensil which will simplify cooking. choosing the right type of nutrition is as a lot as you ;)

Thats funny this past weekend my friend Smiley did a barbecue and his new electrical George Foreman grill cooked that meat in like 5 minutes and it was cooked right, not raw inside, plus it even held the grease back, to me its a great buy, forget about charcoal and lighter fluid, you have to keep relighting, just plug that foreman in and you'll be eating in no time. I highly recommend it.

My oldest daughter raved about hers so much, ("I cooked it on my new George Forman grill." "I will have to try that on my new George Forman grill." "My new George Forman grill is so wonderful because...." and on it goes) that I thought she was selling them. So in answer to your question, according to my daughter, yes it is a good buy. Personally I thought it dried the meat out, which may be the idea to get rid of the fat, but by some of the other answers perhaps I over cooked the food. So I would vote that you give it a try. Good luck.

Yes, I own two models, the fusion grivv is concave and has a glass lid and a well at the center for dipping sauces, it's great for making Korean BBQ. Set out raw ingredients for yourself and guest, strips of steak, chicken or shrimp and veggies for a grilled side dish. Each diner grills their own ingredients to personal taste. It's a blast! My other model is the rotisserie, makes the most succulent chicken ever! Self basting! Also comes with a wide array of accessories to cook just about anything.

Personally, I don't like them.

A better investment would be a grill pan, which you can place on the stove. Juices run off of that too, and the flavor will be closer to true grilling than from the forman. Easier to clean, and probably cheaper.

A seasoned cast iron grill pan is best.

YES. We use ours quite regularly. Much healthier than making burgers in a frying pan. We have both counter top grills and the stand alone electric grill. We use the stand alone most often. There are new sponges out designed to clean out the grooves, so clean up isn't too bad either.

I got the basic model and I LOVE mine! It's handy, cleans up pretty easily, and you can get that grilled flavor even during times of the year when you can't go outside in grill (kind of tough to grill steaks in Michigan in January).
