An infected tooth is, well, infected! What do you expect it to smell like? When your mouth is closed, the air going through your nose siphons the stench from your mouth as it passes to the lungs and back...so the stinkbreath is coming out through your nose too.
Mind you, I'm not saying YOU personally...

Because the decay that caused the infection stinks. The nasal passages are very close to the mouth. They literally breathe out the stench.

i've never had an infected tooth but visit you can visit your dentist and ask him about it or you can just your extra spearmint flavour to get rid of the taste. wash your mouth regularly and drink lots of water. that might help.

its because of the bad germs that are living in the rotten tooth and gums
have the person ask their dentist for some medicated mouthwash. it works great. the one we have is called Perio-guard. you only have to use it once or twice and the smell is gone
