I'm sure there are good women doing the online dating thing. But I would think anyone who does it, does it as a last resort.
I prefer to be picked up in a bar! :)

Depends on the site that you choose. Do a little research. A site that is requesting a lot of information from their members is more likely to draw more quality people than a site that allows you to post a profile and go. Someone just screwing around is not likely to post a profile and pay money if it is going to take a lot of effort. What it will do is expand and broaden the pool of women you are likely to meet. I met my current girlfriend at an online dating site and we both agree we would have never met otherwise.

There are great people on the internet. It really is more a matter of whom you associate yourself with. You can form great friendships and relationships with women you meet off the net. It really is the future of socializing. Think of how much money you would save not having to go on numerous dates or to the clubs...buy drinks for the ladies...and go home empty handed. Most people are more likely to open up and reveal a lot about themselves than while having a casual converation at dinner. So I would say to embrace the internet for its wonderful ability to connect us with people from all over the world.. who knows if you arent already with someone..you could be... i recommend

dude, I met my husband on line, neither of us are losers, we are so perfect for each other, so in love, we were tired of the bar scene. You can really get to know a person online. I think its easier to be yourself. We have been together for 5 years, have a daughter.....and I could not imagine my life without him...give it a try, what the worst thing that could happen?

probably an equal mix of both...a lot of women I know that have tried online dating have been in serious relationships for a long time and are intimidated by the concept of "dating" and meeting people....they feel like they have forgotten "how" - it kind of takes the edge off to meet online....

I think there are a variety of people online dating, for fun, for friendship, for real dates, so I think it depends on what your looking for out there and the other persons intentions as well.

of course there are descent women out there on the net, however
I'd say maybe only15-20% of the genereal popoulation. Id say there are more whack jobs than sane people this also applies to men as well.

I have tried online dating before. My last boyfriend was a result of it. No matter where you look though you are bound to find at least one bad apple..

It's kind of convenient, I suppose, and there is an element of privacy to it, but I would NEVER do it. I don't know why someone would. It just seems unnatural to think you can feel chemistry for someone and never have let your nose do the pheremone-sniff test.
