Well yes, however a more familiar and orthodox way to warn other of your flatulant would be to scream, "Here comes a good one" or pull the old 'go near the person, pretending to get something near them, then turn and fart on them at the last second' Theres many options, really, toe-pulling is still rather contemporary.

no because the hole reason why they say pull my finger is because there is a nerve that makes you fart so the person can say pull my toe but its not gunna work!

yes, because you dont have toes located with your hands...its with your feet. thats like the point finger for the hand you see. (i guess a lot of people didnt notice that)
