Curl enhancing gel and scrunching is the only way I can think of without using heat or chemicals.

First ,give it a little trim, just about 1 or 2 inches below shoulders.
Second,go to Walmart or Target or both and buy the John Frieda collection to help you to achieve your curly hair. My daughter did it and it worked. Look at all the collection.
They even have another one that I use,to get the frizz out and have it straight.
Go check it out,and let me know if you liked it. I also love how it protects my hair. I have the shine of a teenager and I am only 4 months shy away from my 60th birthday

You can't. If you want to curl your hair without using direct heat, you would have to set your hair on rollers while it was still wet and sit under a hooded hair dryer until your hair was dry. Otherwise you would need to use a curling iron.

i used to have the same problem and i have the same hairstyle as u. i found this method really works for me.
after u wash ur hair, towel dry ur hair. then use hair spray or setting cream (whatever brand) on ur hair. next, braid 6 low braids starting a little above ur jawline. 2 braids on each side and 2 in the back. keep the braids on for a 5+ hours or wear them to sleep. blow drying with a diffuser works too but i found wearing them longer is better. anyways, when ur hair is dry, just take out the braids and comb with ur fingers. NEVER use a brush or comb, that'll comb out the curls. good luck!

Either you're born with it or not. I'm cursed or blessed (however you want to look at it) to have naturally curly hair. It didn't start curling until puberty. Before then sometimes my mom would put Sponge Curlers in my hair before bed -- it's not natural, but it's not a lot of stress on your hair.

if you want loose waves and not tight ringlets try this: at night shower and then put your damp hair into two braids. sleep on your hair and by the time you wake up and undo the braids you will have perfect waves. dont use a brush on them but use your fingers to comb through them. ad a little gel or mousse and you are good to go! i have super straight hair and this works great for me.

You get some gel thats for curly hair and when you get out of the shower you can put it in and crunch it up so its can get some waves. you wont be able to get the real curly look if you have straight hair. Or you can try to use shampoo for culry hair

straight hair? hummm...

my hair is far from straight. i just wash and go.

next thing it's boing boing boing.

try not combing the hair or brushing it after you wash it.

let it go naturally.

see what happens.

if it is naturally straight you may have to give in and get a perm.

really, if you want the curls/waves that bad.

just try not brushing it when it's wet.

no one should do that anyways.
