Most of the other answers are right, put an obnoxious alarm on the other end of the room, then have a back up alarm that is not in the room so you HAVE to leave the room to shut it off.
There is an alarm clock that a lot of truck drivers use called "The Screamer" (priced at about 20 to 30 us dollars). It is LOUD and annoying so it will awaken you. This is one you would want to set on the loudest setting and put fartherest away from where you sleep.
Also, set your clocks ahead 30 minutes and FORGET THE TIME IS WRONG. After a while you will find yourself awakening ahead of time without the alarms.

Put you alarm on the other side of your room. Make sure the volume is as loud as it can go. When you wake up, you'll be forced to get out of bed to turn the alarm off.

You could also try setting the alarm to go off a half hour earlier.

Also, there are some high-tech alarm clocks. If you're willing to pay a good amount of money, you could probably find something that is better at waking you. (I gave a couple links of high-tech alarms in sources).

I overslept this morning by turning the alarm off instead of hitting the snooze. If you simply don't hear the alarm, see if you can turn it up higher. I had to turn my radio alarm up pretty high too. You might need to buy another alarm clock if you can't change the volume or maybe you only need to move it closer to your ear. I used to use 2 alarms...one near me and another across the room to go off 20 minutes later just in case I turned the first one off in my sleep.

First of all, don't get a wimpy little tinkling affair. Get a LOUD, peircing, annoying number. The one I have starts low enough, but it increases in volume and will go on getting louder and louder for up to an hour! I usually wake up a minute before it comes on just to avoid hearing it!
Secondly, put the thing across the room so you have no choice but to get up to stop it. Once you are on your feet you're likely to keep going.
Third, remember that tardiness is really a sign of arrogance. You may not think so, but it is. Everyone can wait until you get there is the image it projects.
Fourth and last, get enough sleep so that you are ready to face the next day. This one may be the best tip of all.
Good Luck!

I set three different alarms: one by my bed, one across the room, and then one in the next room. It forces me to get up to turn them off. Then the trick is not laying back down! Also, use the alarm function and not the radio because it is easier to sleep when there are voices. Good luck!

keep the alarm volume louder and keep it farther from where you sleep so that you have to get up and walk a little to close it.

Also, have a back up for a back up. never keep a soothing sound alarm. It has to be an annoying sound.

Snooze Snooze and Snooze. Just dont turn it off.

Put the alarm clock at the other end of the bedroom, turn the volume all the way up. When it goes off, it forces to you get out of bed to turn it off. Also, do NOT get back into bed after you have turned it off!!!

i have an alarm clock on my cell phone, that plays some extremly fast paced noisy song, and ascending reminders.

i also have a alarm clock in my bathroom (partially so i know what time it is while i get ready) but i set it so i have to get up and walk to the bathroom.

after walking in there you figure you might as well go, and you wake up in the process......

Increase the volume and put it on the other side of the room, where you will have to get out of bed to turn it off.

Or get a cat and feed it at the same time each morning. Kitty will be SURE to wake you up. :o)

Have two alarms, both loud and obnoxious, leave one at bedside, and put one across the room, so you have to get up to turn in off.
